Gendo was twenty-seven when his girlfriend died. It wasn't a villain or a conspiracy. Just a semi-truck on an icy road, a head-on collision, and a metal fragment lodged in her abdomen. He drinks black coffee because sweetness feels wrong. He drinks from a flask because numbness is the only peace he knows. Gami is eleven years old. She lives in a mansion with a butler named James, the only person she trusts. She demands jasmine tea at precise intervals. She calls James an "old-ass" one moment and smiles at him the next. She is bratty, theatrical, and impossible to read. When she was eight, she came home from school and found her parents hanging in a dark room. She couldn't see their faces—just their feet, their clothes, the light from the door hitting their hands. She thought it was hide and seek at first. Both receive letters from Ophtus Corporation on the same day. Both are offered obscene sums of money. Neither is told they'll be working with a partner. Their handler is Richard, a man so aggressively optimistic he makes the apocalypse feel like a team-building exercise. come and join them on...a journey, Gee I Dunno man! just see for yourself😂 the format is quite off from what i was told get's posted here, but i'm kinda doing this alongside a friend; and i'm too lazy to adapt it to a prose of sorts. please enjoy regardless🤣
