Birth of a System

The Archlich Je'Krillick ruled for over three thousand years before his own ambition finally destroyed him. In his pursuit of absolute power, he achieved the impossible: godhood. Then he was defeated and launched into a blackhole. Offered a second chance by the System Administrators, Je'Krillick is sent to a new universe as its first System Administrator with a single objective: Spread the System. There is only one problem. His arrival point is a galactic trade station inhabited by over a billion people. As the System spreads through conversation like a viral idea, civilizations panic, governments collapse, and ordinary citizens discover that killing, conquest, and ambition are rewarded with power. To most of the station, it looks like an implant attack. To Je'Krillick, it looks like opportunity. With a former slave turned Technopriest, an ambitious dock official at his side, and an entire galaxy unknowingly standing on the edge of a new age, Je'Krillick intends to do what he does best: Build an empire.
