CAMBIONOLOGY

On August 2nd, 1884, a Great Light was seen from the Lick Observatory. 4 years later, the Cambions attacked. Named after the half-human half-demon hell spawn of European folklore, the Cambion lifeforms adapts to the hostile environment of Earth by consuming the 'Characteristics' of organisms native to the planet, usurping humanity as the planet's apex predator. Almost 50 years later, with half the world fallen to the Cambions and the other half in constant geopolitical turmoil, an American ambassador to the CN (Covenant of Nations) is mysteriously assassinated. His final message to Washington reads: HUMANITY'S ANSWER LIES WHERE THE RAINBOW SERPENT CURLS UP THE WORLD TREE. The American Government scrambles to learn the truth.
