The Law At The End Of The World

The year is 2019 in a parallel earth, or at least it was earth before an unknown force started reshaping ecosystems, toppling cities, and spawning horrid monsters called Jinn. New Europe is one of the few remaining human bastions, and following the sudden surge in Jinn activity, is on it's last legs. The western quadrant, nicknamed 'the wild west' is struggling especially, and are growing desperate. Lortum is a several century old Jinn, with unsavoury opinions on the human race, when they are badly wounded and forced to inhabit the closest host lest they fade away. Unfortunately for our dark protagonist, the corpse they took over belonged to Senior Agent Oz Verdandi, a local-legend and well respected Jinn hunter for the governments elite paranormal defence force as well as his natural enemy. Lortum finds opportunity in the chaos however, as the junior agent assigned to him proves to a natural prodigy, and making her his next host would be a step towards the zenith of this post-apocalyptic world. But first, with his injured soul and clumsy body, Lortum will have to blend in as the famed veteran by doing what Oz did best, hunt Jinn. Growth seems like a far away goal when your own Junior is more lethal than you... And the proto-sorcery you once wielded must now be relearned from scratch.
