Waking up in the afterlife, Daniel Isaac Mason is given a choice. Accept judgement and proceed to what comes next, or hang about, get a job, maybe fix that soul a little. So Daniel gets a job guarding Purgatory's prison, Pandora. Those dark halls are crawling with every nightmare, shadow and mythological monster that ever walked the Earth. Daniel's job however seems simple and easy, just the way he likes it... right up until an ancient god triggers an apocalyptic event, and frees the denizens of Pandora back to the mortal world. Daniel will return to the Earth he oh so recently left with what little help the afterlife has available, a team of morally grey volunteers, and whatever training he can cram in when there's a moment to spare. What was the Egyptian god who did this aiming to achieve, and why does everyone seem to look at Daniel like it was all his fault? Progression fantasy full of characters from history and mythology.
