On the Nature of Unnatural is an anthology series that defies traditional storytelling boundaries, presenting a collection of independent tales connected not by plot, but by perspective. Each story is framed as a recovered account, field note, or personal testimony gathered by a mysterious interdimensional traveler — an explorer affiliated with various multiversal societies devoted to cataloguing the strange, the impossible, and the fundamentally unnatural. Moving across worlds, timelines, and realities, the traveler documents anomalies that challenge the laws of existence: forgotten gods lingering in abandoned cities, ecosystems that evolve against logic, sentient concepts, fractured histories, and beings that should not — and perhaps cannot — exist. Every entry adopts a different point of view, voice, genre, and mythos, shifting between horror, science fiction, fantasy, philosophical fiction, and beyond. Rather than forming a single narrative arc, the anthology embraces multiplicity. Each story stands on its own, exploring new settings, themes, and existential questions, while collectively building the impression of an infinite multiverse observed through fragmented lenses. Readers encounter scholars, monsters, witnesses, explorers, and entities whose understanding of reality differs radically from our own. At its core, On the Nature of Unnatural is an exploration of curiosity itself — a literary expedition into the unknown, where discovery matters more than certainty and where the boundaries of genre, tone, and imagination are intentionally unstable. This project is also a small literary experiment — a space for the author to preserve ideas, concepts, places, characters, creatures, and narrative seeds that do not fit within their main novels but deserve to exist rather than fade into obscurity. Readers are invited to approach the anthology with a sense of play and exploration, while fellow writers are encouraged to treat it as an open challenge: a call for collaboration, reinterpretation, or creative dialogue across worlds yet to be imagined.
