The Adventures of Bal'Nox the Great and Terrible

Bal'Nox grew up as a modest student of magic from a farming community. He was discovered by accomplished adventurers who noticed his talent and reported it to the College of Arcana in the capital city of Draodan, Adrena. From there, he was asked to come learn in the university and given a full scholarship. In his time at college Bal'Nox became enamored with magic and the forbidden practice of necromancy in particular between his classes. When he graduated, he left the city and roamed the countryside practicing harmlessly on corpses and learning. Finally, he became a lich in order to maintain his life and continue learning. He has resided in a wizard's tower in the depths of the wilderness for decades, growing his knowledge and strength, but he has grown curious as to how the mortal world has changed since he left. Disguising himself, Bal'Nox the Great and Terrible wanders the wide world of Eldratis once more to see how it might've changed in his absence.
