Most apprentices spend their days making horseshoes, nails, and the occasional kitchen knife. This one found a mountain-sized machine buried in a cave. Now, instead of normal blacksmith work, he and his master are attempting something slightly unreasonable: repairing an ancient colossus that hasn’t moved in centuries. Piece by piece, bolt by bolt, they begin trying to understand a machine so large that the mountain itself had to grow around it. There are just a few small problems. Most of its systems are rusted solid.Nobody alive remembers who built it.Powering it might cost more than their entire town earns in a lifetime. But if they can wake the giant… If they can make it walk again… They won’t just have repaired an ancient machine. They might build a city on its back. (Note. I am a starting author, and this is my first book. Please don't be too harsh; however, constructive criticism is very much welcome.)
