In a world where Jinkai the weight of one's soul dictates destiny, Renjiro Kurosaki was born with everything but a heart. Wealth, status, and the prestigious Kurosaki name allowed Renjiro to buy his way through life. To him, the world is divided into two categories: the "Refined" (himself) and the "Unrefined" (everyone else). He enters the elite Saiko Academy not to learn, but to collect the crown he believes is his birthright. But Saiko Academy isn't a playground for the rich. While his childhood friend Shun rises as a beacon of heroic Jinkai, Renjiro finds himself an outcast, his dormant soul refusing to wake.
