In a world where heroes are chosen, blessed, and celebrated, survival is an afterthought. Rex was never meant to be special. He has no divine blessing, no sacred lineage, and no system designed to favor him. What he has instead is something far more dangerous: unstable magic, forbidden knowledge, and voices that should not exist. As Star-Rot creatures emerge, cult experiments twist nature itself, and so-called “heroes” fall one by one, Rex and those who stand beside him are forced to fight without guarantees. Every victory leaves scars. Every power gained comes with a cost. This is not the story of saviors chosen by fate. It is the story of those who lived because they refused to die. A guild will rise—not through glory or prophecy, but through desperation, ingenuity, and the willingness to cross lines others won’t. When heroes fail, survivors remain.
