Tired of endless wars and scripted apocalypses, the former Dark Lord returns to the Ashlands and does something quietly heretical—he builds a farm. In a land of ash storms, poisoned soil, and omens that insist the end is near, survival becomes an act of defiance. Crops must be coaxed from dead earth. Monsters must be chased off with patience instead of fire. A kingdom raised on fear must relearn how to live beside its king. The world still waits for Malachar to become a villain again, and heroes will come looking for the monster they expect. But Malachar has chosen a smaller, stubborn life.
