Magical Integration Department

The city of Rhiavas is a magical marvel. A meeting point between magic, technology, and culture with species from all across the world looking to make a home here and find their own success. But magic is a wild phenomena, and magical species even more so. To keep this city running, several cogs need to keep on turning. One such cog is the Magical Integration Department (MID). A small, yet effective, part of the bureaucratic machine, this department is tasked to handle cases no one else can which means they must be capable of fighting things no else can. Monsters, gods, demons, or maybe even politicians, there is no case too small or big. "We deal with the fringe cases, things that fall between the cracks or are just too annoying for others to deal with." This is an urban fantasy in which I aim to see how a small government office can handle fantasy tropes in a city that is going through a magical/industrial revolution.  This is my first fiction and I am hoping for my skill to grow alongside the story.
