The child is born under a full moon. This would promise peace and prosperity, but, on the week of his rites to adulthood, his village is attacked. He watches his brother butchered in front of him. In anger, he unleashes a force he does not understand and cannot harness. It draws men with a similar power. They pursue him. He is brought into their fraternity, and they put his life onto a course that he does not realize comes with a cost. Times are changing though. The world as it used to be — its science, the morals that have guided its men, its expectations — is not the world that is relevant for the next age. This is where he is given a choice. Does he choose the traditional path that his powers have granted him, or does he explore the full extent of his power and usher civilization towards a new direction?
