Some letters are never meant to be written. Naoki Fujita, one of many struggling writers in today's world, accepts a precarious request from a grieving widow. He believes it will be just another job, something temporary to keep the lights on, a letter written on behalf of a diseased loved one. But as he continues to reconstruct the lives of others through fragments, memories, and unfinished thoughts, something changes. The line between author and reader begins to erode.
