A broken father is summoned to save a dying world. He wants nothing to do with it. Kai Drake got out of prison in December. In two weeks, he gets to see his kids for the first time in seven years. If he misses it, he loses his last chance to be a dad. Then he’s kidnapped by magic and told to kill a Demon King. He gets no cheat powers. No fluffy bunny ‘level ups’. Just PTSD, stubborn rage, and a Glock. He’s not here to save the magical world of Tenka. He’s here to get home by Christmas. What to Expect: Isekai, highly reluctant anti-hero, grimdark, violence, brutality, profanity, action, PTSD, morally gray, modern knowledge, multiple POV, trope subversion, high stakes, and tight deadline. What NOT to expect (what the story may superficially approach but deliberately avoids): Standard OP Iseksi Hero, Harem Romance, wish fulfilment, power progression fantasy, clean heroic narrative. It comes close to some spice/eromancy due to roles and scheming but undercuts it with Drake’s trauma and priorities. Our boy does NOT want to play. A raw, mature, trope-subverting take on the genre. Status: Book One: Complete Book Two:  M, W, F release. 1:31 PM (Eastern).
