Dao’s Logic: The Second Law of Heaven

Dao’s Logic: The Second Law of Heaven

by NullWitness

ActionAdventureChivalryCraftingCultivation

He died at his desk. No prophecy. No chosen destiny. Just an exhausted accountant and a spreadsheet that outlived him. Then he woke up in a cultivation world. A world ruled by sects, spirit stones, and an invisible Dao that governs reality like law older than memory. Strength decides justice. Heaven corrects imbalance. Immortality is carved from blood, lightning, and centuries of cultivation, and inherited the moment a child is born, whether they want it or not. But something inside him does not belong here. Where others are born into an element and spend a lifetime proving they deserve it, he was born into nothing at all, and refuses to accept that nothing is the same as nothing to work with. Where others see sacred technique, passed down and never questioned, he sees a system with rules. And rules, whatever anyone believes about them, can be studied. Broken down. Rebuilt. He has no root. No lineage. No inherited path. What he has instead is imagination, half-remembered fragments of a world where power was never real, only ever an idea worth believing in anyway. So he starts building from there. Reconstructing magic from first principles instead of tradition. Combining what should never coexist. Casting spells the world has no name for, because no elder ever taught them, and no scripture ever wrote them down. Every success bends the rules of cultivation. Every failure gets noticed. Because when someone starts forcing reality to answer to logic instead of inheritance, the entire cultivation world takes note, and Heaven does not tolerate what it cannot categorize. But he has already found the one rule that matters more than any of the others. Even Heaven has to follow its own laws. And every law has a second clause.

Mid-pack, room on both levers

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.

Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 50–149 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
