The Ring of the Dark Elves

The Ring of the Dark Elves

Multiple Lead CharactersDramaActionAdventureFantasy

The tale of the enchanted ring and the hero snared in the stratagems of the men and immortals who desire it is a compelling heroic romance, set in the world of Middle-earth, the Norse Midgard. It comes to us out of the mists of time, beginning as oral tradition among the ancient Vikings. J.R.R. Tolkien borrowed the ring for his epic fantasy. This is the story of Sigurd Dragonslayer; the malicious dragon Fafnir; and the shieldmaiden Brynhild, enchanted in a ring of fire, who can only be wakened by a man without fear. It’s the tale of the treachery of Gunthar, the betrayal of Hogni, and the machinations of Odin, chief of the Aesir, who schemes to shape the world to his purposes. In this retelling, the Aesir are not gods, because they do not create. They are Light Elves, powerful beings who seek to rule the worlds. They dwell in the inaccessible heights of Asgard, beyond the Rainbow Bridge. Heroic legends and fairy tales are currently seen as fare for children, but in actuality it is adults who need them most, for despite all our wishes to the contrary we live in days as dark as those of the Norsemen. Heroic tales give us the courage and the hope that are essential in finding meaning in life.  What to expect: A chapter every weekday at 5 PM  Epic fantasy: heroes, dragons, magic, sword fights Honor, courage, treachery, betrayal Domestic violence implied Sex implied Incest (between adults) implied
