A reluctant hero. A system-powered world. An evil doppelganger from hell. When Earth is introduced to the multiverse by a sociopathic AI, portals tear open across the globe, spilling in strange creatures from alternate Earths. Battlegrounds become the new gold rush: high-risk, high-reward, and broadcast to millions. Rankings, sponsors, death counts. It's all part of the show. And everyone wants a piece.  Everyone except Eli. While others want to farm XP and compare loot drops, Eli is perfectly happy working at the same comic book store he’s owned for the past five years and avoiding anything “The System” brought with it.  But then he shows up. A version of Eli from another universe—stronger, faster, and significantly more evil—has risen to power by min-maxing his way into supervillainy. He’s got an army of devout followers, and a five-star wanted rating across the multiverse. Even the AI hates him. Worst of all? He’s using Eli’s face to do it. Now, the System wants this Eli to clean up the mess. Apparently, nobody knows how to take down an alternate version of you quite like... you.  Eli never wanted to be a hero. But somewhere inside him lies the same spark that turned his other self into a nightmare. The deeper he goes, the more the System offers him. And the more he takes, the harder it is to tell where the real threat lies: in the villain he's chasing... or the one he might become.
