The Corn Gods, a class of super humans of the future, do not age, don't need to exercise to remain in perfect body-building shape, and can eat whatever and however much they like without gaining weight, because they receive perfect nutrition intravenously and food passes through them undigested. They also do not shit. They emit only water and a bit of harmless chemical residue. They can do whatever they fantasize and have whatever they want instantly. Most want to be guitar superstars playing to stadiums of adoring fans (slaves, actually). No Corn God ever bothers to learn music or how to sing, write or dance. Doesn't matter to them. The fan base of slave "cornsumans," beings born of human DNA modified with corn DNA, will cheer and adore as required.  The cornsumans live to be 30, and in that time must do all that the Corn Gods command.  And the Corn Gods, who have everything imaginable, are bored to death.  All the Corn Gods want to do is take a vacation. They are transported inside specially-modified corn stalks, rows and rows of them as far as the eye can see, where they cycle endlessly through orgasms and sleep with psychedlic and opiated effects dialed in to ensure six months of pure bliss.  But then there are the Guitariors. They live in a wilderness and they live a finite life, a wonderful life of music, philosophy and love. And they don't like the Corn Gods messing with their communities.  The Corn Gods mostly mess with them for one reason: they want their shit.  Its the one thing Corn Gods can't have, natural shit. And it is as precious as gold to the Corn Gods.
