Isaac Valmont, legendary Magus and collector of unnecessarily French-named magical artifacts, has finally completed his research. Time to emerge from his sanctum, embarrass his academic rivals, and maybe grab some tea. There's just one small problem. What used to be a village is now a city. His currency is antique. The Guild of Magi doesn't exist anymore. And his companions—the legendary heroes who saved the world—are all very, very dead. Turns out five years of "focused research" was actually five centuries thanks to some poorly calculated time dilation magic. Now Isaac must navigate a world that's moved on without him, armed with nothing but outdated knowledge, theatrical flair, and a purple bag with googly eyes. At least the vampires haven't changed. Probably. A comedy-fantasy about grief, growth, and the importance of checking your calendar.
