Raised under the constant scrutiny of his father, he learned early to hide the heat of his feelings beneath stillness. Daisy was born in spring. True to her name, she is quietly radiant, the kind of person who blooms easily where she’s planted. Loving her should be simple, but while their new life at university, away from home, offers the promise of freedom, Chris learns that escape isn’t always measured in miles. Caught between the person he is expected to be and the man he desperately wants to become, Chris must navigate the painful realities of young adulthood.
