Eldritch Endeavors is a dark Appalachian urban fantasy about power, responsibility, and what it costs to hold the line against things that should not exist. Nelm is the Archmage of Appalachia. When reality tears open in the rural hollers of Ohio and something ancient and hungry comes through, it is her job to contain it, alone if necessary. The wards scream, the dead do not stay quiet, and the magic holding the mountains together starts to fail. Monsters are only part of the problem. As the region’s highest magical authority, Nelm is trapped between cosmic threats, institutional cruelty, and a political system that treats justice as a weapon. When the Collegium calls her to account for past decisions, especially the fate of a former ally, Nelm is forced to confront the consequences of her own power, the compromises she has made to survive, and the line between mercy and damnation. Magic in Appalachia is not clean. It is built from old blood, old bargains, and older horrors. Every spell has a cost. Every choice leaves scars. Being powerful enough to stop the end of the world does not mean being powerful enough to live with what it takes. This story follows an established, competent archmage navigating eldritch incursions, magical politics, and the slow realization that sometimes the most dangerous thing in the room is the system she serves. Content warning: Graphic violence, body horror, child abuse, drug use, and other mature themes. This is not a power fantasy.Releasing 12:00 AM Tuesday/Friday
