When a modern day philosophy teacher dies, he gets the brief conversation with an intelligence that seems to have created the world. The biggest revelation? That his isn't the only world, and that the creator isn't opposed to interfering with those other worlds. Not wanting to continue basking in limbo, he accepts a quest to spurn on philosophy in another world. To teach, and through teaching, to obtain power to keep himself safe in a world that might not take kindly to radical new ideas. At least the intelligence keeps him company, even if that's in the form of a system of some kind.
