When thrown into a different world, the typical Isekai protagonist gets some sort of a cheat. Be it an ancient technique, a grandpa stuck inside a ring, a unique system, a rare magical treasure, special bloodline, knowing the future events or heaven defying luck. In Xiao Yun's case all he got was crippled cultivation and a crumbling clan. If one thing sets him apart from the masses, it's his Earthly knowledge and he is forced to put that knowledge into use to try and find a safe spot for himself in this new and absurd reality. Additional Notes: If you are a long time reader of the Cultivation genre, you might particularly enjoy this novel(If you are new to the genre you will miss many jokes and references and the story itself might be confusing). You will find many references to other cultivation novels and cliches, as well some pop culture references. I deliberately picked certain cliche characters and situations and decided to give them my own personal twist. I'm a fan of the genre and there are plenty of tropes that I find frustrating and can be a turn off for many fans like myself, so I decided to target those tropes and play around with them. Be warned though, I will include even THAT particular cultivation novel trope(the one with the "magic medicine"), the trope that pushes away so many fans of cultivation/xianxia/wuxia genre away due to it's perverse nature, but I will be giving it my own personal twist which will change it's nature and make for a funny interaction . It will be done in the future chapters, as I want to set it up properly so the story is actually coherent. Extra Notes: English is not my first language, so if you find any typos and nonsensical sentences, or something that you feel is incoherent, feel free to point them out. I use Word to edit my chapters and fix such things, but as this is my first proper attempt at a novel and I lack the funds for an editor, there might be some mistakes.
