by September Storrie
One morning, Daks, a widowed farmer, and his spunky young daughter, Ora, find a young woman hungover in their chicken cype. Despite Prim being a stranger, Daks offers to let her stay with them for the winter in exchange for help around the farm. As the months go by, Daks, Ora, and Prim grow close even as Prim struggles with the looming darkness of her all-too-recent past. Feelings between Daks and Prim bloom steadily like daffodils before a snowstorm. Will this blooming bud of a relationship be able to survive the darkness of Prim’s past?
