Seeds of an Empire

In the far future, corporations have spread across the solar system, but their iron grip and endless hunger for profits brought revolution their colonies.  The revolution succeeded. Pockets of democracy bloomed across the solar system, but The Directorate in charge of The First Selene Republic on Luna is learning that freedom is harder to govern than win. Jaren Tao grew up on the wealthy refit station Blue Meridian in orbit above Earth, surrounded by comfort, wealth and certainty. He moved to Selene to find himself amidst the romantic ideals of the first true democracy in centuries   He knew the life he was leaving behind would have been easier. What he did not realize is that revolutions do not end as soon as the new banners are hung. As tensions rise and the young republic begins to reveal the machinery behind its ideals, Jaren finds himself caught between the vision of freedom he sought, and the people willing to do anything necessary to keep it.
