Running deliveries meant knowing when to run, when to hide, and when to trust his gut. In the Lower, that was usually enough. After his escape, the streets feel different. District walls seem tighter. Fights break out more easily. Strange magic stirs where it shouldn’t. The more Soren tries to return to his old life, the harder it becomes to ignore the sense that something has been buried in his past. He doesn’t know what they’re looking for.
