THE CITY OF STEAL — Synopsis
Seventeen-year-old Alcerne Nordk arrives in Hump City with a backpack, no money, and no plan.
What he finds is not freedom—but a city that watches, tests, and breaks people.
Hump City has two faces.
On the surface: glass towers, parties, fast money, and a prestigious university called Gontup.
Underneath: gangs, dealers, secret networks, and a system where young people don’t play gangster—
they become one.
Alcerne enrolls at Gontup, a school known as much for its opportunities as for its danger.
Students here don’t just study. They fight for status, protection, territory—and survival.
Every corridor hides a story. Every party has consequences.
Lost and invisible, Alcerne meets Milo, a loud, funny student who becomes his first real ally.
Then he sees Sofia Chen—beautiful, untouchable, surrounded by silence.
Their brief eye contact feels wrong. Like she recognizes him.
From that moment, Alcerne is no longer just a spectator.
A simple message.
A wrong place at the wrong time.
One decision he can’t take back.
Pulled into Gontup’s underground world, Alcerne discovers a city run by students barely older than him:
dealers who never show their faces, gang leaders building empires before turning twenty,
and adults who pretend not to see—while secretly pulling the strings.
As money, power, and violence enter his life, Alcerne must choose who he becomes.
A victim.
A pawn.
Or a player.
Friendships are tested.
Love becomes dangerous.
Every victory costs something—and the price keeps rising.
The City of Steal is a dark, immersive coming-of-age story where youth, crime, romance, and ambition collide.
An open-world narrative about identity, social inequality, and the moment when growing up means losing innocence forever.
In Hump City, nothing is free.
And everything can be stolen.
