Pokemon Battle Commander Salice Cross travels back into the age of the First Explorer of the Utopian lands, a world where humans are transformed into pokemon. initially only meant to observe and chronicle, Salice ends up getting involved with the first Explorer when an enemy from his past infiltrates the past age. The Age of the First explorer is based on the events of the first Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, as well as its anime special, Team Go-Getters Out of the Gate! the story differs from the original quite a bit, including the addition of new pokemon forms, which enable the pokemon not capable of evolution, (A trait of the Mystery Dungeon games' Main Story mode) to gain more power through temporary shifts.
