The Fool's Run

In a world of Dungeons, where humanity is slowly starting to rise, Michelle Takoyaki awakens with a headache.  She'd reluctantly decided, after years of staying away, to try Jerry Applebee's new, strange Dungeon.  And that had gone well enough - until she'd been betrayed. Now, as life goes on around them, Michelle must grapple with eveything - her life, her friends, her place, and the Dungeons.  She might not be the person she always thought she was.  The question is: what will she become? This is a sequel to The Soulforged Dungeoneer, with a different main character.  I will not be focused on dungeon diving (or Running), at the beginning, but this is unquestionably a System world with Dungeons.  As with SFD, some concepts will be introduced without immediate exposition, and we start with a little bit of a mystery. The story also serves to describe a game design that I have privately in my head, altered to fit the setting - but it's a good fit, and it exists in the world for a reason.  I'm trying to describe it without heavy exposition exactly because I feel that would be boring and a bad story, but it will be there. I am not planning on having a high posting rate at launch.  I have had trouble lately and hope to focus on writing consistently and staying ahead. This story is absolutely NOT for people who are new to LitRPG and System story concepts.  I will take as a given a certain familiarity with the general tropes of this subgenre.  I would recommend starting with SFD either way, but certainly don't start with this if you don't know the genre.
