Don't ask how I got to be here. Heck, even I don't know. I'm a Relegate (for those of you not down with the systems of the 26th century, that means I was born with a congenital disorder). I fully expected to live and die as a test subject in one of our government's institutions. But now I've got to time travel for my freedom, all to entertain the elites, Customs, who are rich enough to pay for genetic alterations to make them superior to everyone. Don't worry though, I'm sure everything will work out well. There's no way to mess this up, right?
