Raised among the Frogfolk of Still Water, Baku grows up watched, feared, and quietly isolated. He does not age as expected. He does not behave as his kind should. And though no one announces it aloud, the presence of the Oracle makes the truth unavoidable: he is a Sacred Toad—a living clause in ancient treaties, powerful enough to end wars, and restrained enough not to. Caravan is a slow-burn, character-driven fantasy about power as responsibility, identity beyond birthright, and the cost of restraint.
