Every person in the world of Caravan is born with a single Life Spell— a power that defines their worth, their role, and their fate. Baku Nico was born with one that should not exist. Raised among the Frogfolk of Still Water, Baku grows up watched, feared, and quietly isolated. He does not age as expected. He does not behave as his kind should. And though no one announces it aloud, the presence of the Oracle makes the truth unavoidable: he is a Sacred Toad—a living clause in ancient treaties, powerful enough to end wars, and restrained enough not to. Caravan is a slow-burn, character-driven fantasy about power as responsibility, identity beyond birthright, and the cost of restraint. There are no chosen heroes here—only people shaped by what the world expects them to be. And a road that strips those expectations away.
