Scaffold City (Working Title)

The city Venerant, a singular, colossal construction project spanning three decades has begun to flag. In the years since the downturn the Corvus corporation has become reliant on a class of 'fodder' -refugees who, having ascended out of the surrounding desert, serve as a source of cheap and expendable labor in a city that must be built at all costs. Only the desperate and the brave choose to run the scaffold, to carry priority parts and packages out to the towers. The work is lucrative, but perilous, and being fast is not nearly enough to survive.
