An infinite source of steam from massive subsurface oceans serves as society's source of productive power; the whole-ass goddamn planet is just holes in the ground and steam in the air. And the rare individual born with something different in their brain, capable of manipulating the world with nothing but a thought; the Spark serves as its source of military power. City-states ride and die on their factory turbines, the incessant pumping of steam from rock to bronze, and the psychics who maintain the peace. As for Endi: he's our lead, for now.
