When the System grants him the power to manifest other people's fears, Ezrael climbs high enough to claim the throne. With every step upward, the bodies mount. Disillusioned by what lurks behind the throne, he abandons the crown and his father's ambitions to disappear into the life of an adventurer. Earning his license at the academy is just the first step, and training proves the easiest challenge of all compared to scheming nobles, a spreading monster curse, and imperial guards who pursue him even in exile. If Ezrael fails to master his chilling ability, it will devour what little freedom he has left and deliver him straight back into the fate his father designed.
