Reality Core: Ashes of Azhura

In the dawn of time, the universe was created not through love, but through obligation, created by the God of Creation. Left to its own devices by the distant powers, the universe remained in a fragile state, struggling to grow and flourish under the distant, disinterested gaze of the powers that be. However, the God of Joy decided to step in, but merely on a whim. To quicken the evolutionary pace, the God of Joy poured forth a divine golden fluid, a fluid with power beyond the scope of all known law. The result was the sudden explosion of life, the sudden acceleration of creation. But from this divine fluid, an unforeseen horror was born: the monster known as Obsolan, a creature born from pure entropy and greed. Given life by the divine fluid, Obsolan claimed the power to himself, crushing all opposition, consuming the balance of the universe, and ruling with absolute tyranny, as the gods looked on, feigning ignorance in the face of the destruction of the universe. Though the horror of Obsolan was eventually defeated, the damage had already been done. Millennia passed, and the power of Azhura, the power that binds the will to life, began to wane. Through the meddling of Calagan and Paradox, Azhura was restored, spreading its power throughout the universe… and with it, the return of the horrors that had been forgotten. In a distant world called Earth, a man named Arthur Quarry lived, unaware that his time was running out. As the fabric of reality shatters and war breaks out across the universe, Arthur finds himself in the midst of a conflict older than time itself, a conflict where survival is not assured, the gods are silent, and the laws of reality are not to be taken for granted. This is not a story of destiny. This is the story of what is left when creation begins to crumble.
