A ritual meant to strengthen an immortal ends in death. Soulless [Nameless] is the mortal chosen as the sacrifice — a man who should not have lived. With the immortal gone, the world is about to break into chaos. To preserve order, the survivor is forced into an impossible choice: take the dead man’s place, or undoubtedly die without consequences and disappear without a trace. Thrust into a place he neither wanted nor understands in the first place, he must navigate between critical choices. In a society where appearances matter more than truth, and stability is valued above justice, he must navigate  with finesse. Or he might be more cold hearted than the worst of them ? And behind the walls of the City, a potent threat is becoming more and more visible.
