In the year 2098 the world has changed. Magic has returned to the world at large, corporate entities run rampant, and the world has been divided up into competing countries barely holding onto their power. And in the opinion of one freshly awoken elder vampire, nothing has really changed except the names and faces of the aristocrats. It might be nice not to hide anymore though. Fresh from a stake induced coma, Katarzyna Mazur finds herself lost in a world that left her behind, broke and alone she has to find her way in this bizarre future using old tricks, new friends, and maybe an old ally or two if she can find them. It would probably be easier to do if she hadn't found signs of the blackest magic known to mortality in the deep magic woods outside the town. Maybe it would be easier if she was juggling that, getting her unlife back together, and maybe if she could stop sleeping with that girl she met? It would be much easier if the voices would just shut up. But somethings haven't changed, and power has always been the most addictive drug.
