After a devastating earthquake silences the city’s most beloved theatre, the Grand Gossamer Pavilion is rebuilt five years later with a performance unlike anything the world has seen. At the center of its reopening is the Dolloom, a perfect doll-like dancer held by silver threads, moving with unreal grace and flawless control. She is not human, yet her beauty captures the city, and her performances quickly become the focus of endless praise.   Night after night, the Dolloom tells silent stories through her movements, stories of creation, loss, and longing. Audiences cry, applaud, and fall in love with the sadness she shows, never realizing that her pain is only an imitation, a feeling she cannot truly understand.
