United Kingdom of America: America Reborn in Iron and Fire

United Kingdom of America: America Reborn in Iron and Fire

by GraycenVT

War and MilitaryHistoricalChivalry

In 1776, the American colonies do not found a republic. They crown a king. When the colonies break from England, George Washington is proclaimed King George Washington I, first of his name, and crowned in Philadelphia as the ruler of the newly formed United Kingdom of America. Tasked with forging a monarchy where none has existed before, George must balance revolutionary ideals with royal authority, drafting a constitution that binds crown and law while holding together a fragile new realm. His reign is tested immediately. Crippling national debt, violent domestic uprisings such as the Whiskey Rebellion, and hostile foreign powers threaten to tear the kingdom apart before it can stand. Even as King George struggles to maintain neutrality in Europe’s endless wars, the French Revolution erupts into chaos. Bound by obligation rather than mercy, he uses political pressure and royal leverage to secure the release of Princess Marie-Thérèse Charlotte and Prince Louis-Charles, honoring a debt to the fallen French monarchy and forever entangling the UKA in Old World dynastic conflicts. As exiled noble houses begin to arrive on American shores, the kingdom slowly transforms. Territories are organized, noble domains established, and the foundations of a feudal empire are laid beneath a constitutional crown. Yet peace proves fleeting. In 1812, war returns to the Atlantic in a far deadlier and longer conflict with Britain, one that ravages cities, shatters armies, and redraws the balance of power across the New World. Now elderly but unbroken, King George Washington I faces the final trial of his reign. As the war grinds on, the fate of the kingdom rests not only on his endurance, but on the steel resolve of his heir, Prince William Washington, a man shaped by duty and war. When the conflict finally ends in 1820, the United Kingdom of America stands victorious, having claimed Canada and forced a dynastic union with its former enemy. King George Washington I dies at eighty-one, leaving behind not a fragile rebellion, but a crowned empire forged in blood, law, and iron. The age of kings in America has only just begun.
