Brittle Tempest

'Brittle Tempest' chronicles the story and events that took place during my first fantasy-styled D&D Campaign that I ran as GM, with all of the details, actions, and decisions made by my players reflected as accurately as possible in the writing. Follow the point-of-view of multiple characters as it switches from chapter to chapter, giving a panoramic view of the story with ranging perspectives and alignments.  In the fantastical and magical land of Yilan, a quest with a payout that seems too good to be true finds a group of diverse adventurers in deep with a plot to assassinate a corrupt priest. The flames of potential war between the powerful Storm Empire and the theocratic Kingdom of Cassia burn ever brighter as our protagonists must fight their way through religious fanatics and explore strange realms. Can the party known as 'Overlord' achieve their objective and cash in a seemingly simple quest? Or will circumstances force them to reflect on the true motives of their mission?
