My first time writing anything significant in a long time, so unsure how it will go. It's based on notes I had written years ago for a story that got continually expanded until it became to great a beast. All my writing is completely unedited because I ain't got time for that.A story about an ordinary Main Character in a simple world that is so much more than meets the eye.Minerva is a young Half-foot living a casual life, enjoying it where she can, until she stumbles into something much greater than even her wildest dreams. She's always been someone who coasted through her days, doing odd jobs here and there, never being concerned with the concept of legality, until one job turns into a lot more than she bargained for. Caught up in a rebellion she's never wanted, she finds herself unlocking strange powers that only one person seems to be able to explain, and he's someone she wants to stay far away from.Struggling against trying to understand what's happening to her and avoiding being drawn even further into a fight that's not hers, she'll need to choose to either face what's coming or lose out on what might be the greatest chance of her life.A High Fantasy action adventure with hopefully a gradual burn that has plenty of action, intrigue and mystery that will keep the reader guessing. Expect magic, monsters, abyssal terror and body horror, with a convoluted plot that'll make less sense the further along we get.
