In the empire of cinderfall, heroes aren't born. They are registered as assets of emperor. Caelan Ashford— once a registered asset, bound by law and monitored by officials. His power belongs to the state, his actions dictated by paperwork and command seals. Then he chosed to revolt but lost the battle and got executed. His dream of getting his freedom was destroyed.
