Through Destiny's Gate

After being expelled from college and left with nowhere to go, Jesse Parks hits rock bottom. In the midst of a self-destructive night out drinking, Jesse runs into a sharp dressed old man named Alaric, who gives him a package: A sealed copy of a drafted story titled 'Through Destiny’s Gate'.  But when Jesse’s blood touches the pages; it awakens. His mind flooded with visions of a world on the edge of downfall. Where a crystalline, magical fueled plague called 'The Rot,' consumes the land and life alike. The following morning, Jesse wakes up inside the manuscript’s world. He discovers walled off cities, magic and a humanity which is losing ground by the day. The story is unfinished—and unstable—so it needs a human mind with a free will to drive it towards its intended ending or it will all risk falling apart before it can even begin. No longer bound by pages, the draft is now reality. It is up to Jesse to decide who gets to write its pages.
