Elrik awakens in an ash wasteland with no memory of who he is—or why he has fallen from the heavens. He soon learns the truth: he is an angel, sent by the higher existence known as D.I.V.I.N.E to a forgotten, broken world that was never meant to survive. His mission is part of a divine directive meant to restore balance, hunt a fallen devil, and judge whether this world—and its people—deserve to continue existing. Armed with terrifying powers over transformation and memory, Elrik roams the Ashlands helping survivors, fighting monsters, and uncovering the ruins of a dead civilization. Each use of his power brings him closer to Ultimation—a state of perfection that may cost him his humanity… or his soul. Guided by the enigmatic spirit Asta, Elrik is slowly drawn into a conflict far greater than his mission. Elsewhere, a League of divine champions descends upon the world, heroes armed with overwhelming power and unwavering purpose. Their goal is simple: hunt the fallen devil and purge corruption. But their methods are not that simple or kind. Amid this eternal battle between godly order and shadowed powers, humanity struggles to build its civilization. Will these forces of God help them build it, or will they too be swept away in the wrath of the cosmos? This work of fiction is a part of bigger universe that I am creating in my spare time.
