Rune maiden

Reborn into a cruel world ruled by gods and hidden Systems, a former man awakens in the body of a young woman cursed as Blight-born. Her people are a slave race—barred from magic, stripped of rights, and burdened with a permanent [Fear] debuff that erodes the mind itself. To survive, she relies on a bitter herb that suppresses terror at a terrible cost: addiction. Each dose buys clarity. Each withdrawal threatens madness. Her only strength is Charisma—a stat shared by all Blight-born, and one that marks them as tools rather than heroes. Magic is forbidden. Hope is dangerous. Then the impossible happens. She is granted a lordship. The System responds. Ancient runes carve themselves into her soul, and she becomes Awakened—a living contradiction, an error the gods never intended to exist. Driven by fear, addiction, and an unyielding will to protect what little she has left, she descends into dungeons, battles monsters, builds fragile bonds, and grinds experience in a relentless climb toward something greater.
