A teenage girl appears on the city’s streets at night. She speaks an unknown language and cannot remember who she is, where she came from, or why she is there. The police find her and place her in the care of social services. She gradually adapts in a shelter, where she is taught Ukrainian and given the name Zoryana. Later, the girl is moved to a small settlement to live with a temporary foster family.
