Why We Let the Magic Die

Naeris Farken is a wizard in a mountain. Madcap Skel lives in the desert and unmakes magic with his voice. There's other stuff going on too.  Madcap Skel meets a turtle man with the powers of divination and figures, you do you, just give me some money for food. Meanwhile, Naeris farken gets released from a life time of magical parole and is finally free to go back to doing magical crimes.  This is a story about two people making the choice to explore and grow the sorts of talents that could very well get them executed or worse. Expect classic fantasy vibes with the background of secret and struggling magical training. Broader story elements about empires and magic, and world changing secrets take a backseat to charachter growth and struggle while these two take actions that quietly ripple out across the world around them.  [ The cover is a place holder, and I'll probably come back to this synopsis.
