This is a dark fantasy short story about choice, decay, and the quiet resilience of those who walk willingly into the shadow. There are no heroes here—only people who listened to the wrong voice, or perhaps the right one, too closely. Expect gothic atmosphere, necromancy, moral ambiguity, and a slow descent into a world where death is not the end—but merely a change of duty.
